Neiro is like Doge’s little sister and the heir to her legacy. Neiro’s adopted mother was once Kabosu (the dog behind the Doge meme), and she has inherited the true spirit of memecoin and internet culture.
Our Neiro was the first to be deployed on Ethereum and came to the attention of Vitalik Buterin himself on August 4, 2024 at 11:59:59 PM UTC (the exact moment of the new moon). A few days later, in a reply to the X account operated by a community member, Vitalik confirmed that he had donated more than $500,000 to the Animal Welfare Fund. This is Vitalik’s second interaction with memecoin ever, the first being the SHIB token in 2021.
Originally abandoned by its owner and adopted from a stray dog shelter, Neiro’s journey is not dissimilar to ours: after receiving heavy criticism from the original developers, we decided to take over the project. Neiro is now fully community owned and managed.
With a strong desire to give back, we have already donated to the shelter that housed Neiro, and have more charitable initiatives on the way.
